The event was held at the Graham Young Theatre at Tauranga Boys College.
With the kind sponsorship of both the Tauranga and Mount Maunganui RSA’s the WW100 Tauranga Committee were able to arrange a Panel Discussion between well-known Historians Dr Damion Fenton, author of New Zealand and the First World War, and Lieutenant Colonel Cliff Simons NZDF in exploring the actions of the Battle of Passchendaele.
A great evening was had by all the large attendance, Both Dr Fenton and Lieutenant Colonel Simons gave an excellent, factual presentation as to the actual events in October 1917.
