Nominations for Officers and Executive Committee open on Friday 4th August 2023 at 9am and close Friday 18th August 2023 at 6pm – please see below for each profile seeking election.

EXECUTIVE (A)*
Alan Liddell
I am a retired solicitor and have been a member of the RSA for about nine years. As I was dancing regularly at the club, I thought that I should join and was promptly co-opted onto the board of the Welfare Trust, which owns the commercial building and residential units on the corner of Dee Street and Macville Road and other units further down Macville Road. I now chair that board.
The club has some momentous decisions to make within the next year or so, particularly with respect to the fact that part of our main building is sinking. I have the energy and I believe that I have the knowledge and experience to contribute valuably to those decisions. I ask for your vote.

EXECUTIVE
Robert Huggins
I have put myself forward to serve on the executive of the Mt Maunganui RSA – I am passionate about our club and frequent it probably 4-5 times a week. Mainly playing snooker and buying beer.
A bit about me – I am a Service Member and served in the RAF in England, finishing up as a Senior Aircraftman – to this day I still remember my service number – C8401522. In my professional life I work in the insurance industry, and over the last 26 years have worked for insurers, brokers, had my own firm and currently manage the local office of a nationwide insurance broking company. And I am the father of a 16-year-old girl who attends Mt College.
I love our club and want to see it thrive. I would like to put my business mind to use by helping the club find ways to grow and do better. I don’t think there is enough young blood on the executive – no disrespect intended – and feel that I would add that and importantly an inquisitive mind.
I would love to have your support, and if you see me about the club, please say hello.

PRESIDENT (A)*
Arthur King
I once again put my name forward for the position of President for the Mount Maunganui RSA.
